Post Production Software Support (PPSS)

Location: CECOM SEC TLD Government facility at Fort Lee, VA

The mission of the Communications Electronic Command (CECOM) Software Engineering Center (SEC) Tactical Logistics Directorate (TLD) located at Fort Lee, VA is to perform the acquisition management, development, implementation, deployment, training, and sustainment of assigned systems throughout their program life cycle which includes requirements analysis, configuration management, software programming, software coding, testing, security, training, documentation, fielding support and customer assistance of applicable systems throughout their program lifecycle for SEC.

The SEC TLD objective is to enable the full potential of soldiers to effectively Arm, Fuel, Fix, Move & Sustain the Force throughout the Army Transformation. SEC TLD has developed and/or fielded numerous Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) that are interoperable with SARSS and SAAS-MOD, throughout the Army in fulfillment of its mission.

The SEC TLD performs PPSS for several systems to keep the fielded systems operational and compatible with Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of the Army (DA) changes to policies and regulations. PPSS is the sum of all activities required to successfully ensure that, during the production/deployment phase of a mission critical computer system's life cycle. The implemented and fielded software/system continues to support its original operational mission and subsequent mission modifications mandated by DOD/DA and product improvement efforts.

PPSS consists of software maintenance on existing software, incorporation of changes required by DOD/DA policies and regulations, providing hardware upgrades and software testing to ensure successful completion of the requirements, and providing documentation updates in accordance with applicable changes. PPSS will include both functional and technical support provided telephonically and/or at user sites. Additionally, PPSS shall include training for software and/or hardware changes and installation of systems at new locations as the schedule is made available by DOD/DA.

LSG will provide the necessary program management, administrative and clerical support, cost control, cost reporting, technical status reporting, program reviews, and other ancillary support such as quality assurance, and data management to support all of the technical efforts of this contract.
